We had an amazing stay at Bakehouse in Harwich! The owners have put so much effort into every aspect of the hotel, from the beautiful decor to the warm and cute atmosphere. We were kinda surprised by the bottle of prosecco, ice bucket, and glasses waiting for us, along with helpful notes on how to use the facilities. The hotel had everything we needed, from clean towels to cooking equipment, and even a blanket on the sofa for cozy nights in. We loved being able to relax and watch Netflix, and the rooftop garden with its well-maintained hot tub and mood lighting was the perfect spot for a romantic evening under the stars.
The morning meal could have been improved with some teabags, coffee, and milk provided upon arrival. It wasn't a big issue, but it would have been nice to have those essentials ready for our first cup of tea in the morning.

The towels and bedding were clean, and the robes were a nice touch. There was plenty to do within walking distance, and we loved that we could bring our dog along. The landlord was pleasant and quickly resolved any issues. I highly recommend this accommodation.

The Bakehouse Villa was fine. The highlight of our stay was definitely the luxurious jacuzzi on the balcony, surrounded by beautiful night lighting for added ambiance and privacy. The beach, just a minute's walk away, was a dream come true. The flat was tastefully decorated, and we were impressed with the attention to detail. Cooking enthusiasts will be happy to know that the hotel had all the necessary cooking tools. Paul, the owner, was helpful and easy to contact.
While the flat was beautiful, the bed left much to be desired in terms of comfort. this was a minor inconvenience, and we ended up sleeping on the sofa the second night, a suitable alternative.

The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The owners had clearly put a lot of effort into every detail of the hotel, making it feel cute and comfortable. I was really surprised to find a bottle of prosecco, ice bucket, and glasses with a cute note waiting for me. The hotel had all the necessary appliances, including a washing machine and dishwasher, and a fully equipped kitchen. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and provided a relaxing way to unwind after a day of exploring. I also appreciated the towels and robes being provided. The TV had streaming services, a great option for entertainment. The hotel was conveniently located for exploring the nearby Harwich quay and was just a short walk to the water in either direction. The proximity to the train station and a few minutes' drive to Dovercourt added to the convenience. There were also nice amenities nearby such as a pub, fish & chip shop, and shops. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

For the price we paid, the Bakehouse in Harwich was a fantastic value. The room was beautifully presented, and we loved the hot tub on the private roof terrace. The towels and bedding were clean, and the robes provided were a nice touch. The location was great, with plenty of things to do within walking distance. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog with us, and the owner was quick to address any issues we had, like a minor problem with the hob.
The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from including tea, coffee, and milk on arrival. While not essential, it would have been a nice touch to have these items readily available.

The property had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful decorations and atmospheric lighting. The owners made an effort to provide a personal touch, with a bottle of prosecco and welcome notes. The rooftop garden was a great addition, with well-maintained hot tub and comfortable garden furniture. It was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view, especially during the Christmas season.
Upon entering the property, we were hit with a strong smell of dog, which was off-putting. The side tables were sticky and in need of a good clean, and the cutlery wasn't properly cleaned either.
